Suggestions or Problems with Our website?

This is a Ning website. Therefore there are some limitations. But, work around is my middle name. '~)

For now all PUBLIC photos go into the slide show on the front page.
One option is to set the photos permission to be viewed by friends only, you might be able to do group only too...
The slide show could be removed if it's not liked, too.

- well, I tried to do one yesterday that turned into 23 minutes instead of 10, and don't think want my pic's mixed in with the public one, or anyone else would either, for that matter until they are more professional, hard to believe I used to produce and direct large a/v shows, several at a time for large companies,and work 16-18 hour days,


- different topic, invitations, if you don't know the email, I sent link to tbone, I don't know if you can join without an invite, some ning sites are very open some very restricted in who they allow in.

I'll start a poll to see if WE want the all photos slide show on the main page.

There is a setting for allowing your photos to be seen only by your "friends"

Anyone can join at the moment. If we get a buncha assholes joining ... I'll take care of it. '~)

I love the one on the main page, left comment, I just don't think people would appreciate mine, they are very different activism - and I noticed that skinnychef was able to make a smaller one for her page, but I am 'friend' so that explains that

This is a community site and ALL forms of expression should be welcomed.. the front page All Photos slideshow is just eye candy anyway, don't sweat it.

You can set up your own albums of photos to create topic specific slideshows or have a slideshow of all your photos.

From your profile the "photos" link on the left will start you down the path to add/manage albums and each will have a separate slide show that you can put on your profile OR embed into any other website.

Sorry for the long absence. I look forward to being more active here in '09, and helping MBN Comm being a more visible and audible presence.

I think for now the pics are good as is. If I want privacy, I won't show them ;) Also, I appreciate what you say, Flux, about how if things get asshole-ish, you can bounce them out.

Hey, Flux--

Two questions:

1. How does one --such as I-- post audio? I don't see a way...
2. Can you fix my MBN.comm addy? When people click on it, it still goes to the error page...

In lieu of a standard way of posting audio that I don't see, I posted a blog with new audio up--About Women in Black, NYC, where I interviewed two cool women, and one of them was in Palestine and Israel.

You can paste the same embed code here that you use on your website.

you'll need to ad http://www.spiritmorphstudio.com/ to the beginning of the "src" url

I still have no Idea why your profile URL is giving you problems.. it seems to always work for me regardless of browser or whether I'm logged in or not.

Oh, gosh--Thanks, Flux.... But: I don't do my own website. Ha--Remember, I'm a techno-phobe at heart! It nearly killed me to learn audio editing! So, I have no embed code. All I do is upload it to my website, then send the text I want included on that page to my site manager, and he does the rest. I've been thinking lately that it would be better to do it myself, but.... One more thing to do, and one more huge learning curve.

Yep--I suck! because I am a tech-illiterate and often need to be walked thru it like a four year old.
